W. B. Yeary was a druggist until 1901, when he was forced to give up this business, due to his childhood injuries. He then went into farming, then banking and then a writer for Cotton farmers.

After the death of his first wife, Roberta Lindsey, he remarried "Miss Alice" Cagle. In their later years they left Farmersville, and moved to Dallas. Miss Alice lived to be almost 100 years old.

Walter B. Yeary, Farm Leader, Dies.
Funeral services for Walter B. Yeary, 75, agricultural leader who died early Thursday at his home, 3113 Live Oak, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Guardian Funeral Chapel. The Rev. W. H. Wynn, pastor, Forest Avenue Baptist Church will officiate. Services and burial will be at Farmersville at 11:30 a.m. Mr. Yeary was born Dec. 24, 1860, on a farm near Farmersville, Collin County. He became a druggist in 1880 and entered the banking business in 1901, with agriculture as a side line. He was associated with many farming organizations. His first wife, the former Miss Roberta L. Jones, having died in 1919, Mr. Yeary married Miss Alice Lewis in 1920 and came here to live. He was a member of the Gaston Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. C. H. Standifer, Austin; three sons, W. R. Yeary, Denton; H. E. Yeary, Farmersville, and Dr. D. M. Yeary, Farmersville; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Goff, Hereford; Mrs. Vina Webb, Nocona, and Mrs. John Bunkley, Seymour.
