EAST WENATCHEE _ Rose Mae Patrick, 85, of East Wenatchee, died Wednesday, July 1, 1992, in Central Washington Hospital.

She was born Nov. 30, 1906, to William and Laura (Sluder) Chappel in Taylor County, Ky. She attended Moorehead State Teachers College in Kentucky and taught in a one-room schoolhouse for a year.

She married Harry P. Patrick on Sept. 17, 1929, at Kentucky. They then moved to Wenatchee.

She worked as a fruit sorter and packer in several East Wenatchee fruit warehouses.

She was one of the founders of the Church of God in 1939. The church moved to East Wenatchee in 1955 and is now known as the First Church of God. She also won many blue ribbons at the North Central Washington Fair for her work in arts and crafts.

Survivors include her husband, at home; a son, Bill Patrick of East Wenatchee; a daughter, Jean Hoyle of Everett; a brother, Spencer Chappell of Camargo, Ky.; two sisters, Pearl Tussey of Cynthiana, Ky.; and Pernie Combs of Portland; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
