Mrs. Zelma E. Stager, 83, of Monrovia, Md. died Friday, March 27, 2009. She was the wife of the late Allen Stager, who died in 2006 after 30 years of marriage.

Born on May 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward Bouch and Jessie Bowser Bouch. Zelma worked in payroll for the Department of Navy. She was a member of NARFE.

Surviving are five children, Kay Meyers and husband, Jack, of Owings, Robert Stager and wife, Elizabeth, of Camp Hill, Pa., Ray Stager and wife, Linda, of Frederick, Naomi Oswald and husband, Joseph, of Springfield, Va., and Stephanie Dicken and husband, Ted, of Burke, Va.; her sister, Iverna Bouch of Fairmont, W.Va.; two sister-in-laws, Pauline Bouch and Lavaughn Bouch; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Walsh Jr., and her daughter, Mary Walsh.

Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland.
