John and Eva were named in the 1891 History of Harrison Co., IA, but no one has ever been able to identify them, so their names are quite possibly wrong. Their deaths in Indiana are pure speculation for which I can't find any confirmation either.

According to the 1891 History of Harrison County, IA, page 539-540 (biography of James M. Smith): "Our subject was united in marriage in Putnam County, IN, 8 June 1851 to Miss Sarah Hatcher, the daughter of James and Rebecca (Frazier) Hatcher, natives of Tennessee. Her father's ancestors were John and Sarah (Myers) Hatcher, and on the mother's side her grandfather and grandmother were John and Eva (Shaddock) Frazier."
