William Arnold attended Indiana University in the 1840s. He worked as a sawyer in the Arnold Mills in Bartholomew Co., and was residing there in German Twp. in 1850, in John Evans' household. He took ill suddenly in the fall of 1851, after a visit to the Ohio River valley, and died soon afterward.
