MRS. MARTEL MCLAIN
Belfast, Maine - Mrs. Ella (Koch) McLain, 80, of West Appleton, died Sunday in Belfast Hospital.
Born in Townsend, Mass., June 30, 1888, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Koch, she was a member of the First Baptist church, Nyack, N.Y., past noble grand of E.A. Spaulding Rebekah Lodge and member of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Townsend, and held a Golden Certificate in Townsend Grange.
Survivors are her husband Martel McLain, a son, Edgar A. McLain [sic: should be Edgar A. Wilson] of Nyack; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Richards of Townsend; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held in the Coombs Funeral Home, Belfast, Monday. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Appleton, in the spring.
