Lucille R. Sturm, 92, of Peoria, passed away at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at her residence. She was born on November 15, 1916 in Taunton, Massachusetts to Ralph and Clara Engle Swett. She married Harry R. Sturm on February 12, 1949 in Kewanee, IL. He passed away on March 28, 1976 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Marian Gilfillan and one brother, Tom Swett.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita (Joseph Jr.) Hancock and Sue (Kevin) Kenny both of Peoria; six grandchildren, Denise Taylor, Robert Hancock, Julie Hancock, Kelly Dalpiaz, Jenny Hancock and Teresa Kenny; two great-grandchildren, Alli Hancock and Lucy Hancock; two brothers, Leo Swett of Waukegan, IL and Ralph (Eileen) Swett of Austin, TX; and one sister, Jean (Eugene) Rose of Galva, IL.
Lucille was a bookkeeper at OSF St. Francis Medical Center Accounting Department. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church.
Services were entrusted to Wright and Salmon Mortuary of Peoria, Illinois.
