Mr. Raymond Kent Forinash, age 88 years, a resident of Conowingo, MD, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 in Havre De Grace, MD. He was born August 2, 1919 at Huttonsville, a son of the late James Earl Forinash and the late Myrtie Ann Swecker Forinash. On October 15, 1941 he was married to Dale Beatrice Mills Forinash who preceded him in death in October 2006. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Forinash and wife Stella, Martinsville, VA, Kevin Forinash and wife Linda, Cobbtown, GA. A daughter, Bonita Adkins and husband Ollin, Conowingo, MD. A sister, Virginia King, Kansas City, MO, nine grandchildren, Juanita Haden, Barbara Rowland, Kenneth Forinash,Jr, Sean Forinash, Tami Zirkle, Jackie Brooks, Olga Adkins Coulbourne, Amy Blevins and Shane Forinash, twenty two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Dainor and Dale Forinash, a sister, Beulah Forinash and a great-great granddaughter, Ashley Dowell. Mr. Forinash was a Veteran of the Army Air Corp serving during World War II. He was employed as a Shop Steward for the Baltimore County Board of Education prior to his retirement. Friends may call from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 10th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tristan Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Airport Road. Full military rites will be accorded at the gravesite by members of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County Cancer Support Group, PO Box 2361, Elkins, WV 26241 or to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, PO Box 163549, Columbus, Ohio, 43216-3549 in memory of Mr. Forinash.
