Ardella (TED) Dunmeyer d/o of Ada Belle Dunmeyer. Granddaughter of William H. & Johanna Crissey Dunmeyer all from Somerset County, PA.

Ardella never met nor knew much about her natural father (George C. Saylor s/o of Lawrence Saylor 1898-1963). He'd abandoned his girlfriend Ada and daughter Ardella not wanting anything to do with parenthood or financial responsibility.

The granddaughter of William Harrison (Bill) & Joanna Grace Crissey Dunmeyer, her grandparents had raised her from infancy until Age 17 (Her mother had died the day after she'd been born). Ardella became very close with both her two aunts (Goldie and Estella Dunmeyer) going through her entire life having no other meaningful associations being having an anti social attitude. Ardella did fall in love marrying Railroader Orville Bouse Colegrove but the marriage would end in divorce with a few years. The union did however produce ONE CHILD:

+ William C. Colegrove b. 04/11/1931 in Rockwood, PA.

Our family never got to know anything about Bill Colegrove as he'd chosen to live his own life separate from either parent. Bill did marry and have a son (William C. Colegrove Jr. born July 10, 1953 in Johnstown, Cambria County, PA) that neither of his grandparents had ever met. William Colegrove's wife Mary Pantano Colegrove was born 6/10/1928 and would die 12/03/1976. William Colegrove Jr. has never been heard by anyone in the Dunmeyer or Ogline families.

Ardella's ex-husband Orville Bouse Colegrove, s/o Edwin & Cora Van Colgrove (1909-1985) went on to re-marry another women named Faye Fairbanks Rearic. Orville & Faye (from Indiana County) would live out their lives in upstate Wayne County New York (town of Clyde). Orville's 2nd wife Faye died in 1981 and Clyde would die in Feb 13, 1985 which was one month before Ardella's death.

Ardella died as she lived, very lonely being a hermit not wanting to have friends. She'd mourn her mother's death her entire life, then would mourn over the deaths of both her beloved aunts, Stella (Dunmeyer) Berkley & Goldie (Dunmeyer) Ogline.

Ardella had stipulated all through her life (as her last wish) to be buried in the same grave as her mother Ada Dunmeyer. When Ardella passed, her neice Janet Dunmeyer Perecinsky gave her that last wish, Ardella was buried NEXT TO HER MOTHER in Frieden Cemetery.

Ardella's OBITUARY had been published 03/15/1995 in the Johnstown Tribune Democrat Newspaper.

Compiled by G Charles Ggline, grandson of Goldie Dunmeyer Ogline. Last edited Jun 6, 2013.Ardella (TED) Dunmeyer was the d/o unmarried parents Ada Belle Dunmeyer & George Saylor. Ada married husband Orville Colegrove.
