A figure long familiar on the streets of Bay Minette was that of Joe Andrews, who for many years had charge of the streets in the down town district. For several years Andrews had been in ill health. Adverse circumstances had brought much anxiety and suffering to he and his family.
On Tuesday night Mr. Andrews died, and was buried Wednesday in the Bay Minette cemetery. Many kind hearts still beat in sympathy for those who are ill and unfortunate. One generous person secretly took out a burial insurance for Mr. Andrews, thereby providing a means of burial that his family would not be burdened with it.
The deceased leaves a wife and several children.
