Service as a Private on the 13th day of Nov. 1861 at Forrest Ohio in Co. "C" Eight Second Regt. of Ohio. On the Muster roll of Co. "C" of that Regiment, for the months of Jan & Feb 1963 he is reported "left sick at Fairfax, CH. Va. Dec 1, 1863 His name is not borne in any absequent Roll on file in this office. No evidence of death on file, upto date." Signed by Samuel Rech (? last name).
Marriage: I, A W Frederick, Judge of the Probate Court within and for the County of Hancock do hereby certify that the followling is a true and correct Transcript........to wit: " The State of Ohio, Hancock County, fo. I certify that on the fourth day of July AD 1861 jackson Wineland and Eliza Jane Rose, were by me legally joined in Marriage by me a Justice of the Thomas Miller JT." - this was signed on June 11, 1864.

Surgeon General's report shows he died of Oyphoid (Geven---) have on page. Dec. 25/'62 Pvt. office Hospl (half missing) Wash DC. Evdence of children.
