Funeral services for Archie Chinn were held Tuesday, November 9, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Brighton, Colorado. Rev. Tod Hubbell officiated. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton.
Archie was born June 4, 1919 at Girard, Kansas. He died November 6, 1971 at Mercy Hospital, Denver, at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 2 days. He came to Colorado with his mother and family in 1929. He made his home in Hudson. He was married September 27, 1946 to Wilma Jean Adamson at Mankato, Kansas and recently celebrated their Silver Anniversary. He spent most of his time farming until the last 15 years when he was employed by Macks Trucks.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Mrs. Connard (Shirley) Genereux, Hudson, Max Chinn, Henderson, Ron Chinn, Denver and Dee Ann Chinn at home; 3 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Lena Chinn of Lakewood; brothers, Russell Chinn, Meade, Howard Chinn, Aurora, James Chinn, Charles Chinn, Denver and Floyd Chinn of Commerce City; 1 sister, Mrs. Dencil (Gladys) Wood of Brighton.
He was preceeded in death by his father and 2 sisters.
Pall bearers were Rene Martens, Owen Fisher, Bill Farshee, Jim Hazlet, Dave Collins and Sadao Yagami.
