Obituary:
Morrison Lee Sanford, 72, of Nokesville, formerly of Montross and White Stone, died Thursday, December 1, at a Manassas hospital.
He was a member of Hope Lodge No. 20, AF & AM, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Chapter No. 5, Order of Eastern Star, all of Washington, D.C.
He is survived by his wife, Dorris E. Sanford of Nokesville; a daughter, Barbara Emswiller of Harrisonburg; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Juanita Flory of Nokesville; a stepson, James W. Burns of Olney, MD.; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Deal of Pittsboro, N.C. and Mrs. Lucinda Kelly of Washington; and a brother, Philmore Sanford of Montross.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3, at the Sanford-Price Funeral Home in Montross with interment in Christ Church Burying Ground.
The Rev. John T. LeGault officiated.
Pallbearers were Billy Jones, Rudy Cole, Harvey Sanford, Richard Marmaduke, James Doleman and Robert Brown.
