SOUTH BEND - Donald L. Condon, 90, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, in Regency Place of South Bend. He was born March 15, 1919, in Twelve Mile, IN, to the late Ralph V. and Vedra (Enyart) Condon. On September 6, 1945, in Hammond, IN, he married Elaine S. (Puterbaugh) Condon, who survives. Mr. Condon is also survived by his daughter, Donna (Thomas) Bright of South Bend, IN; grandson, Christian Bright of South Bend, IN; two sisters, Freda (Theo) Stavrou of Minneapolis, MN, and Lois (Jack) Snyder of Cary, NC; and a brother, Ralph (Alice) Condon of Knox, IN. A brother, Thurman Condon, preceded him in death. Mr. Condon served honorably in the United States Air Force in the 13th Airborne as ground support. He moved to South Bend in 1965, coming from Plymouth. Mr. Condon retired in 1985 from Stanz Cheese Company. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 50. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in the Crest Manor Church of the Brethren, 1342 Berkshire Drive, South Bend, IN. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S.
