The Tribune (Seymour, Indiana) - February 11, 1946: George O. Kruwel, age sixty-eight, retired railway Pullman conductor, died Saturday in the home of his sister, Mrs. Amelia Lively, east of Martinsville. He suffered a stroke three weeks ago and had been in poor health the last two years.
A native of Seymour, Mr. Kruwel was a member of the Methodist Church, Logan Lodge No. 575, F. and A.M., of Indianapolis; the California Bodies Scottish Rite and Islam Shrine of San Francisco.
He is survived by two sons, Morris J. Kruwel and Leonard Kruwel of San Francisco; a grandson of the United States Navy; two sisters, Mrs. Lively and Mrs. Katherine McCool, both of Morgan county; two half-sisters, a nephew and a niece.
Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Martinsville. Burial at 1:30 o'clock Monday at Boonville with Masonic services at the grave.
