VASSAR -- Clarence "Chick" Woodruff, 71, Vassar, died April 21, 1999, at hishome.
Mr. Woodruff was a farmer and stockman all of his life.
He was born May 30, 1927, on a farm near Vassar, the son of Kenneth and Carrie Brecheisen Woodruff. He attended the Uber School. He was a member of the Gideon's International and the Mt. Pleasant Community Church.
He was a school board member in the Lyndon School District and board member of the Junction Township Board.
He was married to Wilma Trendel on Oct. 18, 1956, at Vassar. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Mark Woodruff, Quenemo, and Max Woodruff, Vassar; a brother, William Woodruff, Bartlesville, Okla.; and eight grandchildren. Mr. Woodruff was preceded in death by a daughter a daughter, Melody Jackson on July 28, 1995.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mt. Pleasant Community Church.
Burial will follow at Vassar Cemetery.
Mr. Woodruff will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
Memorials should be made to Gideon's International or the Mt. Pleasant Community Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
