A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. Thursday (today) for Reuben A. Blake, Sr., 74, of Topping in Harmony Grove Baptist Church, Topping. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Charles Chilton, pastor of Triangle Baptist Church, Triangle. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He died Tuesday, May 11, 1965.

A retired farmer, Mr. Blake was a member of Harmony Grove Church.

His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Madeline S. Blake of Topping; five daughters, Mrs. Walter Lawson and Mrs. Wallace Rowe of Topping, Mrs. Everette Lawson and Mrs. Clement Lawson, both of Penns Grove, N.J., and Mrs. Herbert Mason of Richmond; three sons, Reuben A. Blake, Jr., and Ernest Blake of Topping, and Fleet Hibble of Gloucester; five sisters, Mrs. Dabney Miller and Mrs. Herbert Miller of Topping, Mrs. Doran Fary of Locust Hill, Mrs. Phil Wood of Christchurch and Mrs. George Horsley of Gloucester; three brothers, Carter Blake and Raymond Blake of Locust Hill and Russell Blake of Topping; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
