"Dick", 80, died at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute in Fort Pierce. He was born in New York and lived in Fort Pierce, coming from Savannah, GA.
He was retired from Gulfstream Aerospace. He served in the Army. He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his son, Guy Heddendorf; brother, William Heddendorf; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; son, Robert Wood; and daughter, Linda Nguyen.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be at 10a. April 14 at the graveside in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Savannah, GA. Family and friends are welcome for a reception at 2775 Highway 80, Garden City, GA, after the service.
