Vet City Driver Gib Bailey Dies
Funeral services for Gilbert A. (Gib) Bailey, veteran city bus driver in Bluefield until his retirement several years ago, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime after 2 p.m. today. He died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital.
A native of Mercer County, he was a son of the late Alex and Laura Calfee Bailey, pioneers of the area. He was unmarried, and lived at 2203 Walton Avenue.
His only immediate survivor is a sister, Mrs. Hazel Keffer of Largo, Fla.
Pallbearers: Jack Wysor, C.V. Martin, Jr., E.H. Goodpasture, Ernest Williams, Oaka Williams, Jr., and Frank Davis.
