Lucille (Miner) Borowiec, 70, the wife of the late Michael Borowiec, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 26, 2007 at the home of her daughter, Rita Williams in Windsor Locks after a long illness.


Lucille was born in Fiskdale, MA and was the daughter of the late Theodore Miner and Rita (Brunnell) Miner LaPlante of Suffield.


She grew up in Windsor Locks. She later lived in East Windsor before moving to Seminole, Florida in 1989. She and her late husband operated Mike's Window Service in East Windsor for many years. She later worked at Sacino Formal Wear in St. Petersburg, FL. She was Past Senior Regent of the Largo Moose Lodge in Largo, FL.


Lucille left to cherish her memory her two daughters, Rita Williams and her husband, Stephen and Diane Leroux and her husband, Connie all of Windsor Locks; her mother, Rita LaPlante of Suffield; her brothers, Richard Miner and his wife, Patricia of Suffield, Larry Miner and his wife, Marie of Washington, NC, and Bruce Miner of NC; six grandchildren Elissa Chaplin, Christopher Williams, Nicholas Williams, Joseph Leroux, III, Kerry Leroux and William Leroux and nine great grand children, Michaela, Alana, Ethan, Brianna, Nathan, Alexander, Amy, Andrew, and Asher. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Borowiec, Jr.


Relatives and friends attended a visitation on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home located at 441 Spring Street in Windsor Locks, with a procession to St. Mary Church in Windsor Locks, where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m.
Lucille was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at St. Mary Cemetery in Windsor Locks.
Her family received friends on Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
