ALBANY — Lillian Juanita Barwick Martin 77, of Albany died Wednesday at Sumter Regional Hospital following an illness.

The funeral service will be 11 AM Friday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church and Father Steve Schraufnagel will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.

A native of Howey in the Hills Florida, Mrs. Martin lived in Albany since 1954 and was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church for more than 50 years where she was involved with arts and crafts being a member of St. Teresa's Craft Group. She was a family life coordinator, a fantastic cook and she loved croquet and sewing. She was a member of Golden Key Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Boaz Barwick, SR and Carrie Gladys (Crafton) Barwick ; her late husband, Irvin Ivey Martin; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters; Alice Martin Rink (Francis) of Rolfe, IA, Donna Martin Hicks (Joseph) of Panacea, FL; three grandchildren; Alicia Eleanor Rink Fankhauser (Jeff) of Renwick, IA, Michael Ivey Martin Rink (Leslie) of Loganville, GA, and Dea A. Hicks of Panacea, FL; two great-grandchildren; Alycia Evelyn Rink Fankhauser and Dewayne Martin Rink; a brother, Roy B. Barwick Jr. of Moncks Corner, S.C.; a sister, Frances Barwick Dean of Clearwater, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be held at 7 PM today at Kimbrell-Stern with the family receiving friends following the prayer service until 8:30 PM.
