Virgil J. Leege, Des Moines, died Saturday at University hospital, Iowa City, where he had been a patient for the past month. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Rev. Lester L. Dattler, of Georgia officiating. Interment was in Fremont cemetery.
Casket bearers were Q. T. Parker, Roger M. Brandt, E. W. Rice, Merton Pierce, Paul Block, and Wm. A. Kuker.
Virgil Leege was born July 17, 1905, son of Fred and Minnie Bahlmann Leege. He was a former resident of Tripoli.
Survivors include his widow, Marian, Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Elda Sievers, California, and Mrs. Lou Hansen, Des Moines; two sons, Virgil, Jr., Georgia, and Leroy J., Des Moines; one brother, Edwin W., Cedar Falls, and one sister, Mrs. Elda M. Kline, North Carolina.
