Obituary of Glen Amos
Alfred Glen Amos was born in Dry Valley, NE, on April 28, 1891, the fourth child of Caroline and Alfred Amos. Received his education in the Dry Valley school where he grew to manhood. His entire life was spent in and around Sargent, NE. On August 4, 1921 he was united in marriage to Florence Randall. Their first home was established on the family farm ten miles south of Sargent, later moving to their home in Sargent. However, he continued farming and raising cattle until his health failed him. Since then he has spent a host of time seeking relief from Emphysema. Glen passed away at the Sargent hospital on Jan. 10, 1976 after a lingering illness. His wife preceded him in death by just 2 months. Also preceding him was his mother, father, two sisters, Anna Copsey of Albany, Ore. and Catherine Miller of Broken Bow, NE. and one brother Leland of Antioch, CA. He is survived by two sisters, Caroline Lenstrom and Edith Steinhoff, both of Sargent and two brothers, Wayne of Carnation, WA. and Bert of Sargent.
