Sterling Thomas Jackson, age 76, of 1036 Sugar Creek Road, Carlisle, Kentucky, widower of Addie Earlywine Jackson, died Friday, March 10, 1995, at Saint Joseph Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was a farmer, born in Nicholas County, Kentucky, to the late Thomas and Sarah Scott Jackson, and was a member of Oakland Mills United Methodist Church.

Survivors are: two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kathy Jackson, of Lexington, and Dennis and Jo Ellen Jackson, of Carlisle; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Larry Hardiman, of Lexington; two granddaughters, Mary Jackson and Christy Jackson, both of Lexington; a grandson, Derek Jackson, of Carlisle; four sisters, Velma Green, Opal Gaunce and Catherine Scott, all of Carlisle, and Nancy Springer, of Rochester, Michigan; and 20 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Junis Jackson and Lloyd Jackson.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Reverend James Gaunce. Burial was in Carlisle Cemetery. Casket bearers were Pat Pope, Clay Mann, Larry Curtsinger, Greg Curtsinger, Stanley Morris, John Cleaver, Sr., Oval Day and Chester Earlywine. Honorary casket bearers were Nelson Fryman, Bill Herrin, Clay Sapp, Elgin Mitchell and Calvin Earlywine.
