Born May 2, 1927, in Borger, he served in the U.S. Navy, worked as a pipe fitter and welder in the oil field and energy industry and was a member of Church of Christ and Big Sandy Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy A. Hurley; daughters, Vicki Lee and Barbara Williamson.
