Mr. R.B. Cain, age 89, of Colorado City, died Wednesday evening in a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Colorado City Cemetery with Wayne and Valerie Banks officiating under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Cain was born April 1, 1913 in Foard, TX to Marshall and Edna Black Cain and had been a resident of Colorado City since 1952. He married Julia Hardegree Wetsel on September 9, 1950 in Mitchell County. She preceded him in death on May 12, 1996. He was retired from the Texas Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator and a WWII veteran on the US Army.
Survivors include a stepson, Roy Wetsel of Abilene; a stepson-in- law, Emmitt Banks of Colorado City; a sister, Bessie House of Colorado City; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
