SALINA - Funeral Held for Former Resident

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Brandt were held Friday afternoon in the Second ward chapel with bishop T. L. Black officiating. Miss Stena Scorup and E. W. Crane life long friends of Mrs. Brandt were speakers.


Mrs. Brandt died in Salt Lake Wednesday morning following three major operations. The body was brought to Salina Friday and taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Crane.


Mrs. Brandt was born March 4, 1868, at Gunnison. The family moved to Salina when she was quite young, and she grew up here. She was married to G. A. Brandt when 18 years of age. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Chester Myers of Los Angles; a son, Durrell Brandt of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren; a sister; Mrs. Matilda Fenn of Mesa, Arizona; a brother, Joseph Sorensen; two half brothers, Joseph S. Sorensen and Erastus Sorensen and a half sister, Mrs. Mary Hansen.
