Adam Burman, aged 78 died suddenly at his home at 6 o'clock this evening. The place where he died was less than half a mile from where he was born. He lived here all his life.
Mr. Burman was born on the Byal farm near Van Buren in 1834. He served in the Civil War, being a member of Co. G. 118th O.V.I. Near the close of the war he was promoted to the position of corporal in the company of which he was a member.
He married twice, his first wife being Miss Etta Leader, of near Van Buren, two girls, both of whom are dead were born to them. Some time after the death of his wife he married again. His second wife being Miss Susan Neeland who survies. Two grandchildren, Mrs. Elva Burket of Tiffin and Mrs. Alvin McClelland of Dallas, Texas survive. Other relatives who survive are Frank Neeland of Van Buren a stepson and Mrs. Susan Burman a sister in law. The funeral at 1:30 Sat. afternoon at Van Buren Prsbyterian Church, Rev. G. I. Shaffer officiating. Burial in Van Buren Cemetery.
