LISBON - Cora Louise Frantz, 74, of Lisbon went home to be with the Lord at 9:41 AM Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Salem Community Hospital.

Born November 5, 1934 in Elkton, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Linnie Ruth (Mills) Chamberlain.

A nurses aide, she had worked at the county home, Salem Convalescent Center, and in home health care for a number of years.

A member of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene, she was a past church board member and Sunday School teacher, and served on the Missionary Council as head of Compassionate Ministries.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Frantz, Sr., whom she married November 27, 1953; 9 children: Marilyn Frantz of Lisbon, Joseph (Virginia) Frantz, Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Cynthia Miller of Streetsboro, Timothy (Anna) Frantz of Lisbon, Art Frantz of Lakeland, FL, Karen (Ggreg) Wright of Kensington, Sharlene (Scott) Thomas of Salineville, Cynthia Frantz of Lisbon, and April Frantz of Kensington; 2 sisters Amber Billipps of Huntsville, AL, and Shirley Willis of Salem; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Evelyn Battle and Ann Good; and brothers Darrell, Richard, Floyd, Harold, Dean, and Cecil Chamberlain as well as a great-granddaughter.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. Jamie Jackson and Charles Cusick officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM Monday at the Weber Funeral Home and one in the church one hour prior to the service Tuesday.
