Taylor, Marvin Richard "Red" My body is a rented house whose tenant is my soul. The lease is for a few brief years, in times unending scroll. Some day my Landlord will arrive and tarry on His way, to post this notice on my door, "vacate this house today."

Marvin Richard Taylor joined our Lord and Savior on Monday, June 27, 2005, at 12:10 p.m. He was 84 and a resident of Zachary. He was retired from ExxonMobil Chemical Co. and was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran. His love for family and enjoyment of life, outdoors and animals are treasured memories cherished by many. He will be forever loved as he forever loved. Visiting was at Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home, 1553 Wooddale Blvd., on Wednesday, June 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service at noon. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. A devoted and loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Edith Weber Taylor; three daughters, Carolyn Taylor Olinde and husband Riley "Boo" Olinde Jr., Edith L. Taylor, and Becky Taylor Wesley and husband Norman Dale Wesley Jr.; four grandchildren, Vicki Olinde Spillman and husband Derrick "Coon" Spillman, Joseph Olinde and wife Amanda, and Brian and Niki Wesley; four great-grandchildren, Austin and Bailey Spillman and Avery and Zoe Olinde; and a brother, Butch Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Taylor; mother, Ada Seymour Taylor; four brothers, Thornton, Troy, Bob and Melvin; and three sisters, Juanita, Margie and Julie. Pallbearers will be Norman Dale Wesley Jr., Brian Wesley, Pete Hollis, Riley Olinde Jr., Joseph Olinde and Derrick Spillman. He will always be "Never Absent From Our Hearts."
