Rockville, February 21 - Dr. George W. McCune, well known in Indiana, died at Tacoma, Washington, Friday. He had limbs amputated on account of gangrene, which resulted in his death. He was surgeon of the 14th regiment and served in the war 3 years. He was 55 years of age, and graduated from College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York City, March 12, 1858. He went to Tacoma in November 1890, from Montezuma, and was a brother to S.L. McCune, cashier of National Bank, and W.W. McCune, Rockville. His wife was preparing to join him in Tacoma when the sad news of his death came.
