HORN, John was born about 1824 in Bad Nauheim, Hesse, Germany. He married Fredricke Book May 8, 1860 and she died in 1862. He married Bertha Agnes Metzner about 1865 and they were the parents of five children, John E., Ida (Frederick J. Lemley), Carl John, John L. and Emma B. He was a tailor by trade and operated his own tailor shop in Naperville. He served as a Naperville village trustee in 1879. He was raised a Master Mason February 16, 1859. He died April 18, 1882 in Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois and was buried in the Naperville Cemetery with the members of the Lodge performing the Masonic funeral ritual.
