POPULAR YOUNG ESCONDIDAN IS CALLED BEYOND WAS A FAITHFUL EMPLOYE OF THE WATER COMPANY
One of Escondidos most promising and prominent young men, Randall Simon, 27 years of age, was called beyond Friday morning at about 3 oclock, a victim of tuberculosis. The end came suddenly, a weak heart hastening his death. Mr. Simon has been associated with the Escondido Mutual Water company for more than ten yeais. For several been joint superintendent for the Mutual Water company and the San Diego County Water company, in charge of the water from Henshaw lake to Lake Wohlford and the distribution of water to this valley. i The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Simon, of the east part of the valley. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Clarence Heard, and other relatives in various parts of the coun-try. Mr. Simon has been ill for the past three or four years, but, bravely, has been making an effort to attend to his duties for the water company. During parts of the last year he has been away from Escondido in an effort to regain his health. The young man has been a popular member of the younger set of Escondido. He has been an active Mason in Escondido and at the time of his death was junior warden of Consuelo lodge. He was also an active member of the local Sciot pyramid. Funeral services will be in charge of Escondido Masons. The services will take place at the Johnson chapel Sunday, starting at 2:30 p. m. Rev. William Ross Lloyd will be in charge of services.
