Civil War Veteran Confederacy
Solomon Mongold, an aged citizen died at the home of his son-in-law, Geo. Southerly, near Fisher last week, after an illness of some months.
Mr. Mongold was a Confederate veteran and served with distinction throughout the Civil War. We have always heard that he had a good record for bravery during the war and never shirked a duty. Thus another of the old veterans answered final taps.
Funeral services were held at the home last Saturday and burial was made in the Newhouse graveyard.
