15 April 1942: Jesse S. Bauman died at his residence, a short distance north of Myerstown this morning. The decease was eighty-nine years of age. He was the son of the late Eli and Rebecca (Snyder) Bauman and was born in Wallenstein, Canada. He was of the Mennonite faith, migrated to Iowa In 1887 and remained there until 1915 when he moved to Lebanon County. Mr. Bauman was a retired farmer. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Levi Brubaker and Mrs. Elias Gingrich, of Myerstown; two sons, Eli Bauman and Isaac Bauman, of Wallenstein, Canada; thirty-six grandchildren, and fifty-four great-grandchildren; also two sisters, Mrs. Moses Gingrich and Mrs. David Martin, of Elmira, Canada.
