A.J. LEIGHTY, 88, Dies; Rites Today

A. J. LEIGHTY, 88, a resident of Taylor county since 1863, died at Hendrick Memorial hospital Sunday at 2 a.m.

Funeral will conducted at Laughter chapel Monday at 10:30 a.m. with burial in the Masonic cemetery beside the grave of his wife, the former Emily WINDSHIP, who died in May, 1936.

Mr. LEIGHTY was born in Meadsville, Penn., Feb. 21, 1856. He came to Texas in 1863 and was married in 1880.

Survivors are his three daughters, Mrs. Jack PARRAMORE, Mrs. Louise E. BROWN Jr., and Mrs. John B. SIMPSON Jr., and a great grandson Ellis K. DOUTHIT Jr.
