He was born on June 12,1929, in Pawnee,IL., the son of the late Jesse and Pauline (Kessler) Oller. Earl and his family lived in Gurnee for many years before he and his wife retired to Austin,Tx. He returned to Illinois last year.
Earl was a combat veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corp. He also served in Japan, France, Germany and the United States before retiring after 22 years of service. He was employed by Johns Manville Corps. in Waukegan, IL as a union electrician for 20 years. He lived in Grandwood Park for 25 years and was past president of the Civic Association.
Earl is survived by his wife of 57 years, Germaine (Goussard); his sons, Alain (Dianne) of Gurnee, Frank (Diana) of Austin, Tx, and Curtis (Jodie) of Lindenhurst; his daughter-in-law Roberta of Woodbridge, Va; his grandchildren, Jenna, Christa, Alexandra, Stephanie and Miley; his brother, Butch and sisters, Barbara McKinnon, Doris Buck, Donna Travelstead, Joyce Dees and Linda Moma. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, William Oller; and daughter, Marie Claude Oller; and brothers, Keith and Chuck; and sister, Jaunita Lawerance.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 26,2009 at Ringa Funeral Home, Milwaukee (RTE. 83) Ave. Lake Ville,IL
Funeral services at Shafer Perfetti Funeral Home on Saturday March 28 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville,IL.
