Dezell J. Hopkins, 77, died at the hospital Wednesday afternoon, where he had been taken only the day before. He had been ill for a long time, with liver cancer. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at nine o'clock from the Lee-Perry Undertaking Parlors and burial will be in the local cemetery.
Mr. Hopkins was a well-known resident of this community for the past 18 years and had many friends. He is survived by a daughter, who with a niece and a grandson, all of Spokane came for the funeral.
His children include Veda Mae Michels
