By son Lucian E. Hudson:
"My dad was born a rascal, skipped school at the Franklin Academy, & ran next door to the courthouse to watch trials all day. He was one of the huge cheerleader squad leaders in high school & was frequently in some difficulty with the father of many young girls. He was actually chased and fired at by a guard, one night, from the "W", the Mississippi University for Women. He described the sound of the .45 caliber round passing just overhead! He had a ferocious pitbull, "Bullger" by name, who would eat anything on command - everyone in town feared the dog. Dad & brother "J.B." worked a mean trick on their mother at a revival camp meeting. She discovered "J.B." had a suitcase filled with small bottles of Lowndes Counties finest local distilled beverage & she ordered them to take it straight to the river (just yards away) for disposal. "Yes, MaMa", "We're sorry MaMa", they agreed out loud as they tossed stones into the river from behind the bushes - SPLASH, SPLASH until it was all GONE. Yea, right. Like JB was going to willing throw away such wonderful stuff! Must have been a wonderful religious meeting."

Henry Hudson & his sister, Alice Louise "Sister" Hudson (marr. Gene BRODT) were married in a double wedding on 14 SEP 1940 in Trinity Episcopal Church, Houston, Harris County, Texas.
