She was a retired teacher and librarian in the Ritenour School District in St. Louis County.
She was a graduate of Southwest Missouri State College and earned a master's degree at St. Louis University. She was active in the National Federation of Republican Women and the Southwest Missouri State College Alumni Association. After she retired, she worked for several volunteer groups.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Blaise Church, 3130 Parkwood Lane, Maryland Heights. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery, 1800 Lemay Ferry Road, Lemay.
Among survivors are a son, Warren F. Speh of St. Charles; a stepson, Earl F. Speh of Santa Monica, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
