Lawrence was born March 27, 1927 in Owosso to the late Roy and Lillian (Zuhlke) Yeiter. While attended Owosso High School, Lawrence enlisted into the United States Navy and served his country faithfully during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
On July 2, 1949, Lawrence married Marcella Hollenback in New Haven and together raised 4 children. He retired from Consumers Energy in 1984 after 36 years of service.
Mr. Yeiter is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marcella; 3 children: Tom (Christy) Yeiter, Patricia (Robert) Daniels, David Yeiter; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Doug; brother, James; 3 sisters: Hilda Jean, Lois, Elizabeth and daughter-in-law, Kathy Yeiter.
