SIMON JOHNSON

CALEDONIA, Minn.—Simon R. Johnson, R2, of Caledonia, died Sunday evening, Nov. 3, in a Caledonia hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Faith Lutheran Church at Black Hammer, Rev. Jesse Thompson officiating, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Potter-Haugen Funeral Home in Caledonia and at the church Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m.

Mr. Johnson was born Sept. 23, 1886, in Caledonia Township to Mr. and Mrs. Soren Johnson and farmed all his life on the home farm. He married Amelia Berquam Jan. 8, 1942. She died in March 1965.
He is survived by one son, Richard of Caledonia; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Elmer of La Crescent; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John of Spring Grove and Chris of Fairview, Mont.
