She married Samuel T. Perkins 25 Nov 1858 in North Carolina. To this union eleven children were born, eight surviving her - George W., David R., John Luther, Mary Jackson, Minnie Canny Fred, Morgan & Tom Perkins.
She moved to Kansas the spring of 1885 & lived for a number of years near El Dorado, Ks. later moving to Arkansas & in 1890 moving to Oswego, Ks.
She died at her home after a two illness of a severe cold. She was a kind mother, consistent Christian & a good neighbor.
She is also survied by a brother John W. Pike & sister Mrs Sarah Smith.
