My Great Aunt was a historian and kept very accurate accounts for the Decker/Beal Reunion each year. During the war a new historian was elected and his name was Bill Beal, Jr. After the reunion he unloaded his car and laid the book on top of the garbage can nearby and forgot about it. When they collected the next day the book was gone. So all the records were lost.
