Estella Buchanan Ledford, age 90, passed away April 3, 2009 at the Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, NC.
She was a native of Mitchell County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Larkin and Minnie Ward Buchanan.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: daughters, Clara Lynn Ahlquist and husband John of Bakersville, NC, Carolyn Isenhour and husband Jimmy of Conover, NC, sons, Larry (Buzz) Ledford and wife Edna of Newton, NC, Dean Ledford and wife Teresa of Claremont, NC, sister in law, Carolyn Ledford of Catawba, NC, sisters, Emma Buchanan of Spruce Pine, NC, Beulah Huskins of Bakersville, NC, Lila Ayers, Dorothy Miller, and Louise Biddix all of Lenoir, NC, Heda Coffey of Morganton, NC, June Gouge of Marion, NC, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Glenn Ledford, son Glenn (Pete) Ledford, and brother, Charles Buchanan.
Interment will follow at the Wilson Cemetery on White Oak Road in Bakersville, NC.
