Willie Chachere died at 7:00 Friday night, April 27, 1934 at the family home in Kinder after a lingering illness. (Tuberculosis) He was about 30 years of age. Mr. Chachere was the son of Mr and Mrs Nolle Chachere, well-known throughout Allen and St Landry parishes. For a time, he was employed in railroad work. He is survived, in addition to his parents, by two daughters, Arlene and Elizabeth, a sister, Mrs P St Romain, and a brother, Clyde Chachere, all of Kinder. Funeral services were held at the Catholic Church in Kinder with internment in that town.
