Born July 9, 1924, in Chicago to Kalman and Pauline Zundel Buritz, he married Rita J. Schmidt on July 19, 1947, in Chicago. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dennis C. of Bartlett and David R. of Wheaton; two sisters, Marion McMorrow of Mount Prospect and Rith Aguilar of Chicago
