Surviving are three brothers, James Evans Akridge and wife, Essie, of St. Clair, Missouri, Lonzo Akridge and wife, Dorothy, of Campbell, Missouri, and Hershcel Akridge and wife, Catherine, of Sikeston, Missouri; one sister, Iva Brentley and husband, Dee,of Oseola, Indiana; by two grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lee Akridge.
A kind and loving brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and a cherished friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 11, 1987 at 3:30 p.m. from the Russell Colonial Chapel with the Reverend Roy Bartlett officiating. Cremation followed the service and cremains were placed in the Standfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri.
