Margaret Carolle married Abram/Abraham Birdsell on 4 Dec 1828.

In the 1840 census they had five children.

They who were: Mary S Birdsell, who married 1) Oscar D Smith, 2) Edward Lochary. William Birdsell, who married Maria(h) Ellis and after a short stay in Iowa homesteaded in Kansas around 1872, where he remained the rest of his life. Letitia Birdsell, who probably married Silas Coalman. John H Birdsell who went on to be a Sgt. in the Ohio 63rd Calvary during the Rebellion War. Not positive what happened to him after the war. Lucy Jane Birdsell who married John H Pettibone in 1859.

According to the 1930 reading of Relief, Waterford Cemetery and the 8 Nov 1970 reading of Ross (or Delong) Cemetery, the two infant sons, d. 1840 and d. 1842 are the sons of A. and M. F. Birdsell.

From the 1970 reading it states on Margaret's headstone: Margaret F., wife of Abram Birdsell. Died 9 November 1812 (1842?). Aged 31 years, 10 months and 3 days.

On the 1930 reading it shows the dates b 1808 and d 1842.

When taking into account the condition of the headstone in 1970, her age was probably 34 with the 4 being flaked enough to appear as a 1 as the date 1842 appeared as 1812.

When more information emerges, this bio will be updated.

NOTE: In April 2012 a volunteer went to this cemetery. It is on private property owned by Ohio Power. She said most of the headstones are no longer readable and most have crumbled. She said many of them were made of sandstone. She did photograph all the headstones that were readable. None of the Birdsell headstones were photographed. Copies of those readable will be kept on file at the Beverly Historical Society.
