She was the paternal grandchild of Allen & Mary Jones of Wake County; and the maternal grandchild of Rigdon & Emily Johnson/Johnston of Johnston County.
She was 23 in 1889 when she married 23-year old Icana Pool, son of Calvin Pool. Her sister, Edith "Edie", would marry Icana's brother, Joseph Frank the following year.
The couple would farm in the St. Mary's (Auburn-Garner) area and be parents to 5 known children (2 boys/3 girls): Winnie Mae (1890-1891), Elliot Sweeney (1892-1951), Fannie Bell (1893-1983), Nancy Lou (1896) and Bonnie Clifton (1902).
Addie was widowed in 1919 when her husband of 30 years passed at age 53. She survived him another 27 years, passing in 1946 at age 79.
